Description

Life has a curious way of shifting the ground beneath us. In Colder Than Here, Myra and her family face a challenge that throws their world into disarray. But amidst the unexpected, they discover what truly matters: the unshakeable love that binds them, the humor that finds light in darkness, and the courage to confront the future with open hearts. This dark comedy will have the audience rediscovering the simple yet profound truths that make life worth living.

“As funny as it is moving, and as entertaining as it is thought-provoking,” (Hollywood Reporter), Laura Wade’s story earned the playwright a Critics’ Circle Theatre Award and an Olivier Award nomination.

Join us at the historic Kenmore Community Club, nestled within breweries and restaurants, and just off the Burke-Gilman Trail. General Admission $25, seniors/students/military $20.

This performance runs approximately 105 minutes with no intermission.

As If Theatre Company

In the long-standing debate, “Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?” As If Theatre Company consciously chooses the latter. We want our art to instill within you hope and laughter, conflict and resolution, empathy and awareness, and a deeper understanding of yourself and others.

We are committed to bringing engaging, challenging, and entertaining theater to the community just north of Seattle. Our company believes that theater is community and together we can tell stories that inspire thought, engage conversations, and join all of us together to tell a bigger story. Passionate and dedicated, As If Theater Company’s ultimate goal is to change our small piece of the world for the better.

Performing at the historic Kenmore Community Club, As If Theatre Company was started by local theater artists, Cindy Giese French, Amy Gentry, and Molly Hall, who wanted to create an artistic home in the Northend. As a burgeoning city without a theater group, Kenmore was the ideal location to call home.

So come along. Play with us.
